Tip of the Day | Backdrops that don’t break the bank

I’ve purchased backdrops from quite a few different vendors, but one of my favorites is: Ali Hohn’s Rock The Drops They’re light weight, wrinkle-resistant, and fairly reasonable to purchase. See, the problem with backdrops is if you use the same one all the time, your pics can start to look Booooooring! Yes, I have been...

Cheras : Utah Senior Portraits

Tonight was the final class for October’s PHOTO 101 and PHOTOSHOP class. I want to thank the lovely, Cheras, for being our model. Despite the fact that it totally snowed today, she showed up and was ready for photography action. And the pictures turned out great. I’m so proud of all the great students who...

tammy - Love them all! Such great color and such a pretty girl. I really love the Taylor Swift look-alike with the telephone!

SAS Floral - Oh MY GOSH! That one in the 80′s garb is simply FAB! Great job Erin! Love these

Trisa Yost - I am interested in taking your photoshop class. I have been using elements and feel like I know it pretty well, but I would like to learn CS3 and get tips on editing skin and eyes. Please let me know when your next class is. Thank You!

Nettie and Spencer : Utah Wedding and Bridal Photography

Nettie and Spencer…sigh.  Seriously, I would love to have the picture perfect, snow white skin, that Nettie has.  She’s absolutely beautiful.  And the flowers, oh my, oh my!  SAS floral has out done themselves again.  Every time I shoot a bride with a bouquet from SAS, I get all giddy because the flowers rock!  I...

Kristine - I like #7, 10, or 16.

Tammy - Either shot of bride in chairs, or the close-up, or the couple in front of the industrial door.

SAS Floral - LOVE these!! Favorites include: 7, 8, 9, 10, and 16. The colors and textures of the backgrounds are FAB!

Kim - What beautiful shots! My faves are #8, #12, & #16.

Asenath - I really like #9

Lani - I really love the 3rd shot (siten4) as well as 7 and 16.

Peggy - Fabulous pictures! As far as what I think would be best for a bridal show, here’s my picks:

I like #2 for the “I can picture this being me” quality to it.

I like #7 because that background is unbelievable! The sky is amazing, and those weedish things being that much taller than her? So cool.

I like #16 because it is anything but a cliched spot for bridals. I love how the blue on the wall brings out the blue in her bouquet.

I like #4 because it’s just a great pic! I like how soft the background is in comparison to how crisp the couple is.

Crystal Hafoka - I like 11 and 13 because of the red brick wall in the back, something about those pics just look really good. I like 12 because it’s a nice close up of her and she looks pretty in that one, and I like 16 because it is the cutest pic of them kissing and in love with a pretty sweet background. I like the blue in the wall and the blue in her bouquet.

Harmony - #3–it’s the happy look in her eyes that does it for me.

Jacquilyn Avery - #7 & #8 are the most attention grabbing but I love them all!

Karolyn - I like #8, #9, #11

Melony - #8, #15 and #16….I realize it’s not a lot of help to not be ale to pick one but I tried!

SAS Floral - My husband and I love 15 too.

Debby Catano - I work with your mom and I just told her that you do beautiful work. Thanks for doing this contest.

Rob and Karly : Utah LDS Wedding Photography

Rob and Karly tied the knot.  And on my eleventh anniversary, no less.  What a perfect day to get married.  The storms that threatened all week long cleared up for their Saturday wedding and the sky was beautiful.  Every detail of this wedding was stunning and it perfectly captured Rob and Karly’s personalities.  I loved it…all...

Kristine - Wow! These are amazing! What a beautiful couple!

SAS Floral - AMAZING work! Great job; these shots are gorgeous. I especially love the red couch pic!

Karly - Holy cow these are awesome! I am so excited to see the rest, especially since I wasn’t able to see much of the reception. ;) And I know Rob loves them because he keeps saying randomly throughout the day, “You are so gorgeous in all of those pictures.” Hahaha.

Crystal Hafoka - my absolute favorite picture by far is the one where they are on that road and he’s holding the two suitcases! LOVE IT!!! :)
